Ingredients

1 sardine (in spring water), mashed

1 cup breadcrumbs (from stale bread)

Splash of sardine water

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C / 140°C fan.

  2. Mash sardine thoroughly.

  3. Mix with breadcrumbs and just enough liquid to bind.

  4. Roll into small balls or flatten into coins.

  5. Place on lined baking tray.

  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until dry and firm.

  7. Cool fully before storing.
