Self Refer Now

You’re not failing your dog — and you don’t have to struggle alone.

If you’re finding it difficult to afford dog food or basic essentials, you can self-refer to The Good Paw Project once. There’s no judgement and no complicated process — this first referral allows us to understand your situation and offer initial support.

To make sure help reaches as many people as possible, any ongoing support after this point requires a referral from one of the following:

  • Your local authority

  • A recognised food bank

  • Your veterinary practice

Support may include:

  • Access to dog food and essential care items

  • Simple, realistic nutrition guidance to help stretch food safely

  • Help with feeding amounts and budgeting without compromising your dog’s health

  • Signposting to additional support where appropriate

Our aim is to support both ends of the lead, while working alongside trusted local services for longer-term help.
